根據記者Shams Charania消息，勇士隊決定裁掉兩名季前簽下合約的Rudy Gay和Rodney McGruder，維持13人球員名單進入到開季。

Rudy Gay訓練營前與勇士達成一年合約協議，Gay與其他球員爭取球隊正式名單位置，但最終沒有擠進大名單位置，Gay將繼續尋找球隊，尋求可以在NBA持續打第18個球季。

Rodney McGruder同樣也是在訓練營前與勇士簽下訓練營合約，但也同樣沒有擠身最後勇士隊開季名單，去年他場均可以得到5.7分、2.3籃板、0.9助攻、0.5抄截。

勇士目前將維持13人陣容進入開季，此舉是為了追求陣容和團隊薪資上的彈性，預期會在開季兩週找第14人加入球隊。
