跟據報導，布魯克林籃網隊曾經收到一筆以兩個首輪選秀權為基礎的報價，以換取前鋒Dorian finney-smith，但球隊拒絕了這個提案。 

據稱有六支球隊對他表現出濃厚興趣，其中包括洛杉磯湖人；不僅湖人隊，還有小牛隊、公鹿隊、雷霆隊、太陽隊和國王隊對他展現興趣，但籃網的要價不低於兩枚首輪。 

現年30歲的finney-smith在42場比賽中有31場先發，場均可得到9.1分，投籃命中率41.2%（三分球命中率38.3%），並有4.8個籃板。
